2017 Phd Opportunity, University of York, Novel Nuclear Scintillator Detectors

The University of York are offering a funded PhD Project Studentship (European/UK Students Only), constructing and researching novel scintillator detectors, starting in September 2017 (or sooner).

The project will be carried out in close collaboration with a UK defence contractor and  Kromek PLC based in Co. Durham, a leading developer of radiation detection solutions. Through this partnership, the PhD student will have the unique opportunity to work on applications that serve the latest industry and societal needs, while being a member of a world-class nuclear physics academic group and having a strong involvement in fundamental nuclear physics experiments.
