The workshop will focus on current and future technical challenges in nuclear security detection and will be an opportunity to hear and discuss the latest NuSec-funded research results.
Technical topics will cover the following areas:
- Nuclear Security detection systems
- Algorithms and Autonomous Decision Making
- Applications of detection systems in Nuclear Security
- Results from the NuSec/AWE Sigma Data Challenge project
Short presentations will be followed by Q&As with attendees and will include an afternoon reception to launch the new NTRnet Network.
All researchers currently or previously working on NuSec-funded projects are invited to submit an abstract for this workshop, either for an oral or poster presentation via our Indico workshop webpage.

The NuSec workshop will be run in co-ordination with the IoP NuFor Nuclear Forensics conference, which will be held at the same venue from Tuesday 10th October to Thursday 12th October 2023.
